Save the Date: Sunday, November 20, 2011 1:00pm to 4:00pm
HO HO HO! It's only September but the holidays are right around the corner and this year High Hopes is launching what will become one of Connecticut's 'don't miss' events of the holiday season. We'll transform our 120 acre facility and indoor arena into a unique marketplace and for those of you who attended our June benefit you know what a wonderful event venue the arena can be. There will be 50 booths featuring unique and varied craft artists. Local bands will be performing live music and we have lots of games and activities for children. In addition, Chester’s Barbeque, Four Mile River Farm, and Caseus’ The Cheese Truck, among others, will be there selling their specialties. This is just a quick overview of all the great attractions – we’ll be spotlighting these vendors and more in the days and weeks to come in our blog, and on Facebook and the High Hopes website.
Starting in the next few weeks you’ll be able to purchase raffle tickets for some amazing prizes. Still haven’t bought an Apple IPad but really want one? Tried to get tickets for Tony award winner “Book of Mormon” and been told none are available until 2012? If you hold a winning raffle ticket one of these prizes and many more could be yours. Check back soon to see the complete list of raffle prizes and locations where tickets are sold.
In keeping with the holiday theme admission to the Market will be a donation to the Shoreline Food Bank, either non-perishable items like canned goods, or a monetary donation are welcome. There will be collection areas at the entrance where you’ll be able to drop off your donation.
This event is being held in partnership with the employees of CL&P and is being sponsored by Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, Connecticut Business Systems, and Citizens Bank.
So put a big circle around November 20th on your calendar and plan to come to High Hopes to start your holiday season off with friends, family and fun and get an early start on your holiday shopping.
